wan salini

almost a month ago i had to go to london to renew my passport... taking the advantage of the occasion.. i decided to pay my cousin and my fellow friends in nottingham a visit... salini promised me to fulfill my demand to make that weekend as the wickest weekend of the year... ... salini is my cousin from my mom's side... the closest most favourite bestest cousin to me that i have in the whole wild wide world... she is anyhow one of the most famous girl in uk... tremendously superceeding abgbotak.... why? she is fun to be with... total opposite to me... i hardly talk to strangers... and most importly i am fussy... very2 fussy for no reason... ...

wan elina

this is elina... from the story of my late grandma... her granddad and my grandad are cousins.. well kinda cousin... maybe they were 3rd cousins or whatever.. who knows... i never pay attention when people talk to me.. but anyhow what i am sure of is she did mentioned something about my grandad and her grand dad and she definitely did mention the word cousin... the conversation was very2 confusing since she was talking about our family tree without using any teaching aid or diagram etc... but for sure thing is her aunty's house is just off infront of my house... i understand it was her grandparents house...

'wan' sabrina

this is 'wan' sabrina.. she has the inverted coma at her wan because she is not actually a wan's. but since she had been bugging, pulling my hair, picking my nose and all... i decided to have honoured he with the wan's name. that was one of the reason i've knighted her with the name, the other reason is because she has been working so hard to get to where she is now... 'The Next Top Model'. as you can see from my photos here... any cameraman would be delighted to have her as model.. she got the look, she got the style, she got height... and she got 'wan' infront of her name!

as you would have predicted, i did have the wicket weekend of the year with them... nonetheless, qiss, sara and nazri were there too! if you are down and low... if you need and morale support... those three lads are the person to talk to.... in any ways.. they would be the most supportive people you can find... dont believe it? believe it! oh plus elina now is qiss next prodigy in guitar... oh yeah.. if you want to learn anything at all, you'd can learn it from qiss... he taught me to play quitar, he taught everyone to play guitar actually, he taught me to take photos and he taught me school stuffs as well... too bad for the girls out there... he is already booked!

as you would notice.. i have 2 extra pics of our next top model here in better resolution... i know sooner or later you guys would be asking me for such... so there you are... your wallpaper of our next top model!

btw today i went to cork taking naz's advice to take a chance for a try out... its for the volleyball selection for all ireland university team.... the team would be representing ireland on the 17-18 of march in manchester to play a championship againts england, scotland, wales and northen ireland... and guess what?!! i made it! i made the first selection! so if i make the next one, i'd be playing volleyball for ireland huh!!! fingers crossed! got to training harder now! might be the first Malaysian to play volleyball for other nation... huhuh

oh if you ever wonder how could i be eligble to play for ireland, well this is not the national team, its the national university team.. they select players who is in the uni in the nation to play for this championship. fingers crossed everyone and pray for my success!!

p/s: kalau terpilih ni... rasanya boleh masuk majalah maskulin or remaja tak abgbotak? hahahahha

NO SUCH THING
By: John Mayer

Welcome to the real world, she said to me
Condescendingly
Take a seat
Take your life
Plot it out in black and white
Well I never lived the dreams of the prom kings
And the drama queens
I'd like to think the best of me
Is still hidin'
Up my sleeve

They love to tell you
Stay inside the lines
But something's better
On the other side

I wanna run through the halls of my high school
I wanna scream at the top of my lungs
I just found out there's no such thing as the real world
Just a lie you've got to rise above

So the good boys and girls take the so called right track
Faded white hat
Grabbing credits
And maybe transfers
They read all the books but they can't find the answers
And all of our parents
They're getting older
I wonder if they've wished for anything better
While in their memories
Tiny tragedies

They love to tell you
Stay inside the lines
But something's better
On the other side

I wanna run through the halls of my high school
I wanna scream at the top of my lungs
I just found out there's no such thing as the real world
Just a lie you got to rise above

I am invincible, I am invincible, I am invincible
As long as I'm alive

I wanna run through the halls of my high school
I wanna scream at the top of my lungs
I just found out there's no such thing as the real world
Just a lie you've got to rise above

I just can't wait til my 10th year reunion
I'm gonna bust down the double doors
And when I stand on these tables before you
You will know what all this time was for

Almost every kid wanted to be a spaceman at one point of their life and me included (and still wanting!). IF you want to experience the weightlessness, scuba diving is the closest you can get to it if you cant run 10 miles in 20 minutes and all those stuff that you need to do before becoming 1 out of thousands who tried to be a spaceman. Under the sea, everything si so different and tranquil. So if you are not qualified for prozac, this is your other best option too!

i first got my hand in scuba diving in 2003 with Discovery scuba. The experience was something that you cant describe with words.. i only did expressed it with big grinned and jumping about for no reason after that dive. Then in summer 2004 my dad asked me if i wanted to join him doing the course. How excited was i. We did Open water and Advance Open Water course in ago in 5 days. I even stayed back watching my dad leave me on the island after that for i wanted to do more dives!!

I did get more dives after that. Now, with 2 full log books with more than 1000 hours of diving, im still hitting my head against the wall wanting to dive. My mom even worried that i might stop medical school and do scuba diving for living. Well i dont really mind! Scuba divng is something you must do and experience it first before saying anything against it. defilitely!

Dont give "i dont know how to swim" excuse for missing this great world. Even the handicapped and people on the wheel chair now scuba dives and some of them are even divemasters and instructors now. Its not about whether you know how to swim or not. Its about whether you have the gut to face your fear. I admit that i was damn scared at first before doing my Discovery Scuba and i swam for state when i was 12! anyhow swimming has nothing to do with scuba diving. Ok, maybe only some part of it. It gives you some advantage. But the big picture is, if you can walk, you can scuba dives! that doesnt sounds quite right because those who cant walk also scuba dives now days... http://www.hsascuba.com/

So come down and go scuba diving with me. You never know what you missed until you try it first! I admit it maybe dear at first, but then later once you qualified and have your own gear, everything is so much cheaper! It is definitely worth the money you spend and the fun that you'd had. If not, why would people still go scuba diving and got addicted to it if its not worth it? Here i would like to introduce you to Kapas Island. Where all the fun may begin!!

This is Aquasport Dive Center in Kapas Island in Terengganu. It is quickest place for you to be going from the aeroplane to to deep blue ocean.

www.kapas.com.my wrote:
Pulau Kapas or Cotton Island inherited its name from the native because of its incomparable white beaches. Surrounded by crystal clear ocean, Pulau Kapas promises a spectacular getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life to quiet natural retreats with abundant sunshine and crisp clean air.

An island renowned for its clear waters, sandy white beaches and swaying palms, it is relatively isolated. Home to an infinite variety of hard and soft corals, the waters around the island abound with sea-shells, fish and turtles. The island's laid back atmosphere is ideal for relaxation but the more adventurous will find it is also a haven for swimming, snorkeling, windsurfing, kayaking, boating and fishing.

Where a myriad of corals, shell fish and turtles flourish in the waters. The waters around the quiet and secluded beaches offer ideal spots for snorkeling and scuba diving. Basic but comfortable accommodation is available. Not recommended during the monsoon season between November to March.

It is own by Zainal Azam, one of the pioneer in scuba diving in Terengganu or even in Malaysia maybe. Azam is so long in the business even my Instructor was his student. He is a certified Padi Instructor with decades of experience with more than 5000 logged dives. You can be sure he'll take good care of you. He is helped by Salina or better known as Kak Sal and the Divemaster brother Zamri. Here we usually do 3 dives a day and the fourth one if you fancy Night Dive.

Complete Padi diving courses are available here from the Discovery Scuba to the professional level of Divemaster. We have the complete gear for you to go diving so you wont even have to carry anything to come over! The services provided are the best you can get on the island. Services are on personal basis, so you dont have to worry if you are inexperienced coz we'll be looking after you from choosing the right gear to getting your tanks on board if you have any back problem.

If you are new in scuba diving and dont have the time for the Open Water Course or dont want to spend the money on something that you might not like, why dont you try Discovery Scuba Diving first! It consists of a short introduction course of scuba diving which would take around 30 minutes depending on how quickly you learn and understand the course. Then the instructor would gear you up and you are ready for your first training dive! it is called confine water dive where you would be in water waist deep and practice what you have learned theoritically.

We do it in a confine water and waist deep so you can be assure that if anything goes wrong, you are in a safe condition. This is when you learn how to breath underwater using the pressurised air on your back. Its a no brainer course actually. All you have to do is to get used to breathing using your mouth and not your nose. If you are a smoker, you have an ahead start!

Then you'll learn how to empty your masked if it got filled with water and how to recover your mouth piece if its spilt out from your mouth. So its to cover the basic skills of scuba diving. Then when you mastered the skills, your instructor would bring you to swim around to the deeper side which is about chest deep. Once you are confident and comfortable, the instructor would bring you out and you are ready for your first dive! THis would usually takes around 30 minutes as well. Might be quicker if you are a fast learner!

Then after a quick rest, the boat will be ready and you are off for your first dive!! The boat would bring you to a real dive site, usually the easy but interesting one! Here you will be diving with very close supervision of your instructor and a divemaster if you are in a group. So you can be rest assured that you are the priority! Usually one Divemaster can take around 8 certified divers with them depending on their experience. With you, Instructor Azam usually only allow maximum of 2 Discovery Scuba Divers per divemaster. Thats even tighter than recomendded by PADI. So if you have more than 4 person with you doing discovery, i might be there to help out! (fat chance to be diving with me! )

Then you'll be diving for 40 minutes or even more if you dont consume that much air and up to 12m under the sea level! Up to the boat and then you'll received you PADI Discovery Scuba Certificate! Gonna look good on you wall!! its definitely in almost everyone's list of things to do before 40!!

If you like it, you can start you Open Water Scuba Diving Course which usually takes around 3 days. You dont have to do Discovery Scuba prior to this. So you can jump straight into the course if you want. In Open Water Scuba Diver, you can dive up to 18m under the sea with a fellow certified diver though it is recomendded to do it under supervision of Divemaster or higher. In case of Discovery Scuba, you can only dive with close supervision of the professionals (Divemaster and higher).

Scuba diving is very addictive (dont accuse me of not warning you!). More than 80% of certified Open water diver would go to the next step when they have time which is Advanced Open Water. After completing this course, you can dive more than 18m deep and can do Night Dive too! The next step is then tp be a certified EFR (emergency first response) similar to First Aid course and in this case more concentrated to diving scenarios and then become a Rescue Diver. After this, you are only one step before the professional level of Divemaster.

In Aquasport Dive Center, this is the course price list:

Open Water: RM 950
Advanced Open Water: RM 800
Rescue Diver : RM 750
Divemaster: ask in store

Discovery scuba = RM 180 (including everything)
1 dive = RM 90 (including complete gear)
2 dives = RM 170 (including complete gear)
Snorkelling trip = RM 25 per person
Round Island = RM 15 per person
Canoe = RM 15 per hour

Remember that if you are up for it, you can do Open Water and Advance Open Water in a go. One after another, you would need a total of 5 days at least anyway to complete both course. So why stop at Open Water?

Kapas Island can be reach in 15 minutes by boat from Marang Jetty. Therefore it is possible for you to come in the morning, do your Discovery Scuba or a few dives if you are certified and then go home in the evening on the last boat! Its definitely worth a try if you lives near Terengganu. Even people who stay at Club Med Cherating come over here to dive! So dont miss out the cool thing that we do!

I would recommend you to use Suria Link Boat service as it provides you with a boat every 2 hours at least and more will be available on demand. It cost RM 30 for a return ticket per person. They also provides you choices of chalets and resort during your stay. So ring up ZACK (+6019 983 9454) and he'll be delighted to arrange your trip to the island.

If you are interested, you can contact me for details or straight to Salina (+019 3796 808) at Aquasport.

p/s: i dont take any commision at all but i might ask you out. So you decide who to contact first.

I'm better off on my own

Sum 41 - Pieces

I tried to be perfect
But nothing was worth it
I don’t believe it makes me real
I’d thought it’d be easy
But no one believes me
I left all the things that I said

If you believe it’s in my soul
I’d say all the words that I know
Just to see if it would show
That I'm trying to let you know
That I’m better off on my own

This place is so empty
My thoughts are so tempting
I don’t know how it got so bad
Sometimes it’s so crazy that nothing could save me
But it’s the only thing that I have

If you believe it’s in my soul
I’d say all the words that I know
Just to see if it would show
That I'm trying to let you know
That I’m better off on my own

(On my own!)

I tried to be perfect
It just wasn’t worth it
Nothing could ever be so wrong
It’s hard to believe me
It never gets easy
I guess I knew that all along

If you believe it’s in my soul
I’d say all the words that I know
Just to see if it would show
That I'm trying to let you know
That I’m better off on my own

this week musical photography is on the song 'Pieces' by Sum 41. this song played on my playlist 5 mins ago and i decided to do it on this song. apparently i dont have time to really set up and execute a plan shooting session. then i found these photos that was taken by me last summer in front of my house. it was ismail's birthday.. my childhood bestfriend. from what have been decended by the seniors in KMYS to us and what had been decended to our juniors, this is the ritual of a birthday party.

no we didnt do this because he stole something. as the mastermind.. first we had a football match that night to make sure he would dress appropriately for this special occasion. he had no idea what so ever.. i have talked through the other 2 of 5 of our other buddies on whats gonna happen that night. then we set up a nice bbq party just among us. and then when everybody is full.. we started the ritual by holding him and tie him up to the lamp post infront of my house.

warning: as law required wmdhafidz.fotopages.com insists viewers not to try or immitate what had been done by the people in here. this was done in a close road in the middle of the night when everyone was sound asleep especially my parents. the stunt performed in this photos were done by the professionals or total idiots and was under close monitoring by health professionals. we also insists viewers not to send us any photos or videos of you doing anything similar. we are just gonna steal it and claim it ours.
