if afraid of the waves, do not house beside the sea...

Malays are obviously the most underated race in the world. The main reason behind this is because the Malays themselves keep on overrating other people in this world. This is still the dilema for most countries whom had been colonised. The British had been calling themselves 'Tuan' ages ago and now 50 years after independece, we are still looking them as 'Tuan'.

Some people might still think that 'Tuan' is just a respectful manner in calling other people. In the other hand, it also actually means 'Landlord' or 'owner'. Bare in mind that they didnt own anything on this sacred soil of Malays.

We Malays have always been teaching our sons what had been taught by our mothers that manners reflects your character. In a circle, your manners would reflect how good your parents had taught you. Personally, this unique tradition makes the Malays special and easily accepted by the foreigners.

Ironically, being on the foreign soil for years, this core teaching by our parents may be regarded as our weakness. This very point was written by Tun Mahathir years ago in his controversial book Malay Dilemma. Malays are also known for 'amuk' behaviour that is specifically mentioned in the medical dictionary for Malays.

As the old folks saying, if you are afraid of the waves, do live beside the sea. If we do not want to be seen weak, we should stop treating the foreigners superiorly. Cermin2lah diri. They are no better than us by birth right. Give yourself some credit. Break the mentality barrier than keep telling us anything from oversea is much better than what we have and can do locally. Give your own people a chance to prove themselves. At the same time, remind them that we are expecting the best from them. Dont be lazy. If you want something, put effort on it. Your effort shows how badly want the thing that you want.

kita selalu mengharapkan org lain untuk membantu kita. maklumlah, tradisi tolong menolong. tp kita sendiri lupa untuk membantu diri sendiri. berhenti mengharapkan bantuan org lain. if you want to get something done, do it yourself. even something that seems impossible to happen in the first place would happen or at least have higher chance to happen if you ACTUALLY PUT EFFORT on it. Nothing is impossible. dulu org ckp besi boleh timbul pon kene gelak.

a lot of people approached me asking to recommend them to my dad to get a job etc. hell i never mentioned anything to my dad. why? if you really want the job, you wont be looking for me. you'd be looking for my dad. regardless how hard and long waiting to get the appoinment, it shows your effort and how bad you actually want the job. if you failed once, keep on trying again. instead ask them what they want that you dont have. and then improve on that. in anyway you look at it, if you are afraid your application will be rejected, do not apply for it in the first place. and then do not complaint!

in conclusion, if you want to check how you mentaly discriminate yourself and own people to other people, look at mat salleh and then look at your own people. yg mana lagi lawa... selagi tgk mat salleh lagi lawa dr melayu kita... selagi itulah sebenarnya mereka menjadi 'Tuan' kepada kita...

abgbotak got schooled!

i was in the library when i turned on my laptop and received an offline msg from my mom. she was screaming and complaining of having toothache when she read my last entry, she said my grammar was very2 poor especially on verb agreement. im sorry mom... i do slang english now. no more international english

i was 'advised' to review my 'literature' everytime i wrote them and before they are being published. sorry mom... im not doing english major. FYI, my mom is a dedicated english lecturer. she has taught ranges of students from 7 years old to 40 years old in her 30 years career. <--dodgy grammar there!) therefore i might have embarrased her in anyway with my poor grammar.. or spelling.. huhuh sorry! i wasnt really listening to my english teacher when i was in primary school, jr high school and even high school. obviously this website is NOT SUITABLE FOR IN CLASS ASSISTED TEACHING METHOD for ENGLISH

i cant be bothered actually to spend time chunking and checking what i wrote in here. its more of creative and free writing... no rules!! anyways here are some pictures of last saturday bbq with my classmates... gloomy day it was.... rained at some part of it.... but full stomach most of it..

Quote:

Peter Kay & Matt Lucas ft. The Proclaimers
I Would Roll 500 Miles
When I wake up, when I wake up, well I know I'm gonna be
I'm gonna be the man who wakes up next to you, Yeah I no
When I go out, when I go out, well I know I'm gonna be
I'm gonna be the man who goes along with you, who?
If I get drunk, If I get drunk, well I know I'm gonna be
I'm gonna be the man who gets drunk next to you, yes sir
And if I haver, when I hav…. What does haver mean, yeah I know I'm gonna be
I'm gonna be the man who's havering to you, It’s on ‘ere

And I would roll 500 miles
And I would roll 500 more
Just to be the man who rolled a thousand miles
To fall down at your door

When I'm working, when I’m working, well I know I'm gonna be
I'm gonna be the man who's working hard for you, shak a ka
And when the money, and when the money, comes in for the work I do
I'll pass almost every penny on to you
When I come home when I come , oh I know I'm gonna be
I'm gonna be the man who comes back home to you
And when i grow, when I grow, well I know I'm gonna be
I'm gonna be the man who's growing old with you

But I would roll 500 miles
And I would roll 500 more
Just, to, be, the, man, who, rolled, a thousand, miles,
To, fall, down, at, your, door,

Da da lat da (Da da lat da)
Da da lat da (Da da lat da)
...etc. x2

Lou- Ladies and Gentlemen, The Proclaimers

When I'm lonely, well I know I'm gonna be
I'm gonna be the man who's lonely without you
When I'm dreaming, well I know I'm gonna dream
I'm gonna dream about the time when I'm with you
When I go out (when I go out), well I know I'm gonna be
I'm gonna be the man who goes along with you
And when I come home, when I come home, yes I know I'm gonna be
I'm gonna be the man who comes back home with you
I'm gonna be the man who's coming home with you

But I would walk 500 miles
And I would walk 500 more
Just to be the man who walked a thousand miles
To fall down at your door

Da da lat da (Da da lat da)
Da da lat da (Da da lat da)
...etc... x5

Da da lat da (bobby Davro)
Da da lat da (bobby davro)
…etc…

And I would walk 500 miles
And I would walk 500 more
Just to be the man who walked a thousand miles
To fall down at your door

this is a very very very famous song in ireland and scotland... originally was released in 1988 by the proclaimers and was top of the chart in UK, US and aussie.. muzik muzik 88 masa tu br start... so tak galmer la kat mesia kot..... anyway... the main reason behind the success of this song up till today (which is as famous as their national anthem, but sang with more affection) is because its a song about 2 good friends (originally a boy to a girl) who love each other so much and promise to take care of each other esp when either of them is drunk... since irish and scottish are quite a drinker.. no surprise its the song they sing everynight on their way walking home!

this is the re-record version from the comic relief prog with the proclaimers... they change part of it from roll 500 miles to walk 500 miles since both of them are on wheel chair... its a typical english goofy comedy

its a catchy song try it here
